As we transition into the winter months, our school is buzzing with activities and preparations. The students have been enjoying baking sessions, where they learn to create delicious treats while honing their practical skills. We've also reorganized our downstairs classroom to better display our middle school projects and activities. The cold weather has not deterred us from spending time outside; students have had a blast sledding and kicksledding. With Christmas just around the corner, excitement is building as we get ready for the holiday season.

This month, we were delighted to have visits from our FNSB literacy coach, Kayla, who has been working closely with our students to enhance their reading and writing skills. Additionally, child therapist Dyanna has visited several times, much to the joy of our students, who always look forward to their time with her. We have been diligently working through assessments, and letters detailing the results will be sent home in the coming week.

Looking ahead, we are planning a parent-teacher evening where parents will have the opportunity to review the assessments and reports with their child's teacher. We are also excited about an upcoming visit from RPay next week, during which students will practice their cross-country skiing skills and participate in fun games. As we approach the holiday season, we are planning several winter celebrations, including a turkey lunch, Christmas caroling in the community, and the highly anticipated annual Christmas sleepover. These events are sure to bring joy and create lasting memories for our students.
